About

I am Nabil Fakih, born and raised in Tyre, Lebanon. I immigrated to the United States of America in 1994 to pursue my studies in college. I worked two jobs to make my way through and earned admission at the competitive Wayne State University School of Pharmacy, an American public research university located in Detroit, Michigan, and the third largest university in the state of Michigan.

After graduating in 2001, I earned a Rite Aid scholarship and worked at Rite Aid, a popular drugstore chain in the U.S., for a  few years. I was later inspired to open my own community pharmacy in Dearborn, Michigan. Dearborn Heights Pharmacy service over 25,000 patients and fills an average of 600 prescriptions per day. And because Dearborn Heights Pharmacy has been doing so well in our community, I, Nabil Fakih, has been appointed by former governor Rick Snyder to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy from 2014 to 2018. I have started a local anti-drug campaign called “Say Not To Drugs” and have been regularly donating to local churches, mosques, fire and police departments, and community sporting events. I have been married for 16 years to my wife Mona Fakih, who also works in the medical field as an obstetrician gynecologist.
